YouTube Clone

YouTube clone is a replica made by me from scratch of the well known online video sharing and social networking platform.

This project was built with the aim to challenge myself, to keep practicing and learning by doing. It contains the same basic functions as the original site, such as searching for videos, playing them or adding them to the "watch later" list.

Getting Started

To get a local copy up and running follow these simple steps.

Prerequisites

  • npm
    npm install npm@latest -g

Installation

  1. Get a free API Key at YouTube Data API
  2. Clone the repo
    git clone [email protected]:Lnferrari/youtube-clone.git
  3. Install NPM packages
    npm install
  4. Enter your API in .env
    const REACT_APP_API_KEY = 'ENTER YOUR API';
